It’s Time to Ditch Plastic Water Bottles for Good.
80% of plastic water bottles never get recycled, with 38 million ending up in landfills each year. Join us as we embark on our 30 day commitment to reusable water bottles.
Plastic is a deeply troubling and prevalent problem on our planet. We use it all too often, and most commonly in single-use items. About 384 million metric tons of plastic are made each year - and 9.5 million tons are dumped into the ocean. The Ellen MacArthur Foundation had made claims suggesting that by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than there are fish.

It's more important now than ever to consider our daily habits to help turn the tide on plastic pollution. In the United States alone, we use more than 50 billion plastic water bottles annually - and 38 billion of those are improperly disposed. These bottles take hundreds of years to biodegrade, hurting our planet in the process. Plus, it takes up to seven bottles of water to produce the plastic needed for one bottle, and up to 15 gallons of oil, according to Ban the Bottle. The amount of resources being used to make plastic water bottles is destructive enough to make us reconsider this everyday convenience.
One of the easiest ways to reduce our carbon footprint is to commit to using a reusable bottle. With the launch of our stainless steel water bottle, our team decided to embark on a 30 day commitment to reusable water bottles and reduce plastic pollution. Join us as we embark on our challenge to say no to single-use plastics. Small changes make a difference.
