The Spring Handbag Edit

As we roll out some of our newest handbags for Spring, we wanted to share a little bit about what went into each design.

Handbags are one of the most coveted accessories women want for a reason. They serve a function, but they also serve style, completing or completely transforming any look in an instant. As we roll out some of our newest bags for Spring, we wanted to share a little bit about what went into each design, and how we decided these were the styles you’d want. We sat down with Annie Chen, our VP of Merchandising, to have her break down each bag—what makes it great, how to wear it, and why you have to have it.

We designed each so that they can fit a card case/small wallet, lipstick, keys, and your phone. The bags are minimal but chic, and endlessly versatile—designed to feel relevant in your closet season after season. There are no tacky logos or brash branding, just quality you’d expect from the biggest luxury brands. We also made sure that there’s a wide range of colors on offer—from classic rich tones like navy, burgundy and saddle to fun neon pops like petal pink and sky blue for Spring—so there’s something for everyone.

The Annie Mini Trunk Bag

“Vintage-inspired, the Annie bag is a new interpretation of a travel trunk shape but miniaturized to an adorable crossbody size. I added travel-inspired details like the keychain valet that you might find on luggage, which provides a playful contrast in proportion."

The Kayla Wallet On a Chain in Silver.

The Kayla Wallet On A Chain

“Kayla is a jewelry-inspired update to a super versatile all-in-one silhouette. I love the unique box chain strap--it feels so substantial and adds a jewelry-like element. It's a great bag for a night out, or to throw into a work bag for dinner plans since it has a full wallet organization within so you can grab it and go. I chose metallic leather colors to add a nighttime element with this end use in mind."

The Ivy Envelope Clutch

“Ivy is a chic take on a leather envelope or portfolio. I love the slim profile which makes it easy to tuck into a larger bag, and how minimal it is--the hidden magnetic snap means there's no visible hardware for the person who likes to keep the focus on the quality and color of the leather itself. A day clutch is such a polished look!”

The Leah Camera Bag in Saddle.

The Leah Camera Bag

“Leah is our take on the timeless camera bag shape which is also vintage-inspired. It was fun to take a classic shape and reinvent it in unexpected, modern and edgy colors like Neon Pink or Black with Black hardware. I also wanted to touch on the belt bag trend with the smaller version that is super versatile--you can wear it as a belt bag, across the chest like a sling, or remove the strap to actually wear as a belt + a pouch/clutch for storage.”

The Piper Mini Wallet

“I don't think you can find a wallet that packs more function into such a small size!  I created this wallet because I often use smaller bags but don't like being limited to just a card case. This wallet has a full billfold, coin compartment, and plenty of card slots in a teeny silhouette. It's like a Mary Poppins wallet!”
